Username Generator
Enter one or two words to get a list of handle ideas ready to copy.
What this is
A username generator combines your chosen words with the prefixes and suffixes creator accounts commonly use, then orders the results shortest first. What makes a handle last is not how unique it is but how easily it can be said and retyped: a name that has to be spelled out every time someone mentions it loses part of the audience looking for you. That is why this list uses no leading digits and no trailing underscores.
How it works
Length limits differ by platform, and the tightest one usually decides. TikTok caps at around 24 characters while YouTube allows up to 30. Names past 24 are flagged here, because choosing one that does not fit on a platform means consistency across platforms is already lost.
Using the same handle everywhere is worth more than getting the perfect one on a single platform. When someone hears your name once, they will try it elsewhere — and if it belongs to someone else there, you lose them. Check availability across every platform you use before deciding.
How to use it
- Enter your main word A name, a subject, or anything that describes you.
- Add a second word Optional, but it multiplies the sensible combinations.
- Check availability Tap to copy, then check it on every platform you use.
Common questions
- How long should a username be?
- A handle should stay under 24 characters so it fits every major platform, and the shorter it is the easier it is to remember and retype. The tightest limit among the platforms you use is the limit that actually applies to you.
- Does this check whether a username is available?
- No — it only produces ideas and checks no platform. For YouTube, the handle checker on this site can tell you whether a handle is already held by another channel.
- Should I use dots or underscores?
- Both are best avoided where possible, because both are awkward to say aloud and often mistyped. If you must use one, a dot usually reads more easily than an underscore.
Notes
- This tool checks availability on no platform.
- Ideas are built in your browser; nothing is sent to a server.
