What this is
Video to MP3 is a tool that takes the audio track out of a video and saves it as its own audio file, with no video attached. Today a separate audio file is available for TikTok videos: you paste a link, and next to the MP4 there is one audio file with the video's original sound. It is useful for keeping a trending sound, a piece of dialogue or background music you want to hear without the picture. It all runs in the browser with no app.
How it works
TikTok keeps each video's sound as a separate track. The tool reads the link you paste, finds that track and offers it as an audio file in the result box. The file is saved as it is, without re-encoding, so its quality matches what TikTok plays — usually MP3, sometimes M4A, and the label always names its real format.
Videos from X (Twitter) and Threads still save as MP4 with sound, but those platforms do not serve a separate audio track.
The audio in a video is its creator's work, and music often carries a separate copyright. Save one to listen offline for yourself; do not redistribute it or use it in your content without permission. Respect the creator's rights and each platform's Terms.
How to use it
- Copy the TikTok link In the TikTok app, tap Share → Copy link on the video whose sound you want.
- Paste it in the field above Paste the link into the field. Short vt.tiktok.com links work too.
- Pick the audio file In the result box, pick the audio row (MP3 or M4A) rather than an MP4.
- Save the file Tap save and the audio file downloads to your device, ready to play offline.

- Which platforms can I convert to MP3?
- TikTok, today. X (Twitter) and Threads videos save as MP4 with sound, but with no separate audio file.
- Is the file really an MP3?
- Usually, yes. The tool does not re-encode the audio, so you get the track as TikTok serves it; if that is M4A, the label says M4A. Both formats play on any phone and music player.
- Is the audio quality good?
- It matches the original track TikTok plays. Audio cannot be better than the original, but there is no extra quality loss because nothing is re-encoded.
- Do I need to install anything?
