What this is
A YouTube video downloader is a web tool that reads a public video link, lists the formats you can save it in — from full-resolution MP4 down to audio-only MP3 — and downloads the one you pick straight to your device. It works inside the browser, with no app, no extension and no account. You paste a link, choose a quality, and save the file; there is no step in between.
How it works
YouTube serves every video as several separate streams: video at different resolutions, and audio at different bitrates. The downloader reads which streams exist for the video you paste, then offers the combinations that make sense — 1080p MP4 with audio, 720p MP4, or audio-only MP3 — so you pick a finished result, not a technical fragment.
The highest resolution on offer depends on the video itself. A 4K video can be saved up to 2160p; an older upload may top out at 720p or 480p. Shorts are treated the same as regular videos — paste a /shorts/ link and the formats appear as usual.
Download video only for content you own, content licensed for offline use, or content you have permission to save. Keeping a video to watch offline for yourself is one thing; republishing someone else's work is another. Respect YouTube's Terms and the creator's rights.
How to use it
- Copy the video link On YouTube, tap Share → Copy link, or copy the URL from your browser's address bar. Shorts links and youtu.be short links work too.
- Paste it in the field above Paste the link into the field. EnSaveNet recognises the video and reads the formats available for it.
- Pick a format and quality Choose MP4 at the resolution you want, or MP3 if you only need the audio. The estimated file size is shown before you commit.
- Save the file Tap save, and the file downloads to your device's download folder straight from the source.
Common questions
- Can I download a YouTube video in 4K or 1080p?
- Yes — as long as the uploader provided that resolution. The downloader offers the highest resolution that actually exists for the video: up to 2160p (4K) for 4K uploads, and 1080p for most HD videos. An older upload capped at 720p cannot be forced higher.
- How do I save just the audio as MP3?
- Choose the MP3 format in the results list instead of MP4. The downloader takes the video's audio stream and saves it as an MP3 file, with no video attached — useful for music, podcasts or interviews.
- Are Shorts supported?
- Yes — YouTube Shorts links are treated the same as regular videos. Paste the /shorts/ URL and the available formats appear just like any video.
- Do I need to install an app or extension?
- No — everything runs on this page in desktop and mobile browsers alike. There is no app, extension or software to install, and no account to create.
- Is it legal to download videos from YouTube?
- Downloading is legal for content you own and for content licensed for offline use. For anything else, respect YouTube's Terms of Service and the creator's copyright; you are responsible for how you use the files you save.
Notes
- The download engine is being brought online. When it is live, the formats appear in the result box above; until then this page says so plainly, and for YouTube videos it offers the thumbnail, stats and transcript downloads that already work.
- EnSaveNet stores no video on its servers and is not affiliated with YouTube.
