Channel Analytics
YouTube Video Stats
Paste any public video URL to see the numbers behind it.
What this is
Video statistics are the public numbers attached to a YouTube video: its views, likes, comments, upload date, length and the tags it uses. All of them are visible on the video's own page, but scattered and not directly comparable. This tool gathers them in one place and adds two derived figures YouTube does not show: engagement rate and views per day.
The formula
engagement rate = (likes + comments) ÷ views × 100
- likes — the publicly visible like count; blank when hidden.
- comments — the comment count; blank when comments are off.
- views — the video's view count.
How it works
Views per day is the view count divided by the video's age in days. It is far more useful than a raw view count when comparing two videos, because a raw count mostly measures age: a three-year-old video nearly always beats a three-week-old one without being any better.
Likes and comments can be hidden, and this tool distinguishes hidden from zero. They mean different things: a channel that turned comments off is not a channel that received none, and treating them alike corrupts any average built from them.
How to use it
- Paste the video URL Any form works: watch, youtu.be, shorts, embed, or the bare ID.
- Read the derived figures Engagement rate and views per day are not shown by YouTube itself.
- Compare against your own video One video's numbers only mean something next to another's.
Common questions
- What is a good YouTube engagement rate?
- An engagement rate of roughly 2–5% is generally considered healthy for a YouTube video, but it varies enormously by niche and channel size. More useful than any benchmark is comparing one video against others on the same channel.
- Why is the like count missing?
- A channel owner can hide the like count, and when hidden it is not available to anyone through public data. This tool shows it as hidden rather than zero, because those mean different things.
- Can this see a channel's private data?
- No — it reads only the numbers already public on a video's page. Watch time, retention and click-through rate are visible solely to the channel owner in their own dashboard, and no external tool can reach them.
Notes
- Public data only. Retention and click-through are not visible externally to any tool.
- If live data is not enabled on this deployment, the page says so rather than showing an error.
